The Streets Has Taken Over! The Unrivaled Influence Of The Streets In 21st Century ~Omonaijablog

Naira Marley, Zlatan Ibile, Biesloaded and Poco Lee in my opinion are the most influential artists of this decade.
I can't tell precisely who started the Opoor slang between Naira Marley and Zlatan, but one of them started it. It later transformed to Ko por ke KPK

Naira Marley went ahead to lead a movement of Marlians such like this country has never seen before and may never see again. Even in the Core northern part of this country, his cult like following is unrivaled.
Zlatan Ibile on the other hand,  dropped a track, with  dance Gbese, Gbe body eh,  Zanku, Gbeku, Palliative, Chocho dance. His dance moves, hit the world by storm, broke a global record such that Beyonce and NBA jumped on it. At the mention of Gbe body eh, people go into a frenzy, throw caution in the wind and start dancing with reckless abandon. Never seen Africans so excited about à dance ever. I still haven't seen any dance step that thrilled Nigerians as such till date.
Even my two year old nephew could Gbese at some point. We had to caution him to stop.
Poco Lee, from dancing in his little corner and posting on Instagram, he was discovered by Zlatan, who invited him over. The rest is history. His Poco dance is accepted over all dance halls across the world. There is hardly any music video, you will find him as the lead dancer.

Adebisi Adeyanju, popularly known as  Biesloaded is a blogger and a member of Zanku Records. Easy going and nice to a fault. A song was composed to eulogise him, titled Watimagbo. The track was a smash hit. The slang Watimagbo is trending across the country. Watimagbo is the next big thing.  It is gradually facing out the Opoor slang.
And guess what? These youngsters are from the streets.

Never ever, undermine the streets. Oti take over.
