There is no way the history and the development of motion pictures will be written without mentioning his name.

He has mentored many outstanding Nigerian actors and has not relented. Giving back to the society is his watchword. He is notable for the idea of decentralizing movie making from core Lagos to other emerging hearts of the nation like Benin city.

Nigeria's most consistent filmmaker, Ambassador Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen has been honored by the Directors Guild of Nigeria (DGN) Abuja Chapter with a Life Time Achievement award, for his Iconic Achievements in Filmmaking.

Heralding the 50th birthday of this prolific filmmaker at the Casa Caramelo behind NAFDAC, Office Wuse Zone 7 Abuja, tagged Abuja Synergy Night Reloaded, the Abuja chapter of the Directors Guild of Nigeria, led by Hon. Emmanuel Eyaba Tagbo (DGN), recognized the contributions of this Okpioba.

Reacting, Amb. Lancelot whose latest movie 'Wede' is set for the cinemas said; "seriously my birthday is June 20th, and I turn 50 years old this year, but what DGN Abuja chapter did for me to kickstart the series of events already been planned to mark this golden jubilee celebration blown my mind. From the attendance, to the organizations and the special Life Time Achievement Award presented to my humble self got me very emotional.

"What more can i say to Mr Emmanuel Eyaba Tagbo and all his Chapter members. I bow! It's my candid prayers that Heaven will open for them all... I love you all, God continue to bless and light up our paths... Amen." He said.
