""Thank you to all who work the front line" - FirstBank CEO's Message To Covid-19 Frontliners

Chief Executive Officer of FirstBank of Nigeria, Dr. Adesola Adeduntan, FCIB, has written a thank you note to all workers on the front line at this challenging period of coronavirus pandemic.

In the said note, Dr. Adesola Adeduntan, said, "These are indeed unprecedented times.

All of us at FirstBank acknowledge and appreciate the efforts of our unsung heroes, the front line Nigerians who toil day and night to care for us and keep us all safe as we collectively fight this battle we face.

We especially thank and applaud our Health Workers; Doctors, Nurses, all hospital staff and indeed everyone else providing essential services; who at great and grave personal risk give the best of themselves again and again to deliver essential care in the face of this global challenge presented to humanity.

Selflessness and resilience in the face of adversity stand us out and are the hallmark of heroes.

We applaud you and we at FirstBank stand with our hats doffed as we send you our prayers and words of encouragement. Our promise to you is that we will also continue to do our bit by working to keep Banking services available across all our channels even though our branches are closed. We will continue to serve Nigerians via our digital channels, ATMs and our large network of Agents across all nooks and crannies of the nation.

Information on alternative channels and locations of Agents close to you can be found on our website. Once again, we thank all who are serving at the front lines at this time.

I seize this opportunity to also recognize Herculean efforts from my colleagues and staff of our Bank, noting that for a Bank our size, your efforts in delivering seamlessly in line with all Government and Regulatory authorities’ pronouncements have not gone unnoticed and is testimony to our process agility and experience garnered over the years. Our commitment to extend banking to all through deliberate financial inclusion strategies means that we may have shut branches but we have a myriad of alternative channels by which we can keep Nigerians served.
We add our prayers to that of all Nigerians and lift you up at this time with all we can offer.

To that end, it is our hope that our ‘Thank you’ in its simplicity can go some way to expressing our deep and profound gratitude In recognition of your service to humanity.

God bless you and keep you and all yours safe." He said.

Dr. Adesola Adeduntan, FCIB
