Sad! Popular Female Singer, Songwriter, Actress Quits


Popular female Afropop, RnB and Highlife singer, Rebecca Akosua Acheampomaa Acheampong, mostly known as Becca, has confirmed that she will be quitting music by the end of this year 2020.



The Ghanaian singer, songwriter and actress, who first gained recognition as a contestant on the second season of TV3's annual singing competition Mentor, said, as a professional, someone need to know when to start and when to let go. 

Becca also promised to leave a legacy and a footprint by making substantive investment in a worthy and talented artist when she finally draws the curtains.

She announced this decision on her official instagram page few hours ago that, "This is the beginning of another decade. What are your plans this decade?

I’ll briefly share 3 of mine;

1. End my 13 years as a “RECORDING” artist by the end of 2020.

2. Focus on my several investments.

3. Spend more time with my family.

Each of these plans is backed up with cutting edge blueprint.

As a professional, you need to know when to start and when to let go.
I will be making substantive investment in a worthy and talented artist when I draw the curtains.

But between now and the next 12 months, OMG (Oh my God) it’s going to be smash hits after smash hits.  #Blessed."

The 35 years old singer who got married to a Nigerian, Oluwatobi Sanni Daniel, on August 18, 2018, and already have a baby girl, is signed under Zylofon Media record label.

Becca has released a number of songs in her more than 10 years music career and tops the list of arguably top three most popular female singers in Ghana alongside Efya and Mzbel.
