The youths in Port-Harcourt are
set to celebrate Christmas in a way that it has never been celebrated before as
they rolled out a series of events tagged ‘ One Rivers Festival’ to make
Christmas in 2017 worthwhile.
This is definitely a rare line of
event as hardly does the youth celebrate the birth of Christ in such a way.
The events have been slated for
December 22nd to December 25th which will of course be the grand finale of the
event. Several events have been set for all of the days, the events are as
follows:
DAY 1 : The carnival walk and
Opening
Day 2 : Open Mic and DJ’s display
Day 3 : Old school/Raggae Night
Day 4 : Comedy/Choreography and
Gospel
Day 5 : One Rivers Gala Night
According to the convener of this
event, Hon. Edwin Okolie, he revealed that the idea is borne out of the need to
garvanise the youths for the celebration of Christ and also use same platform
to showcase talents and exhibit the brand around them. He further urged people
to be part of this give back to the society as a corporate social
responsibility.
