According to him, “Barrister
Jide, Asiwaju's first son, though young, lived a life worthy of emulation for
the younger generations and the yet unborn ones. His death is a colossal loss
to Nigeria and Nigerians.

“He was a complete gentleman,
friend of the people, and most importantly, a man who showed the true status of
his father, Jagaban Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whose record of service to the nation
can not be forgotten".
Mumuni, a chieftain of the All
Progressives Congress (APC) also described Jide as a true Nigerian whose love
for his fatherland could never be negotiated an inch.

While consoling his immediate family, Ambassador Mumuni also commiserated with the good people of Lagos State, the Lagos State Government and all Nigerians over the great loss, and prayed to Allah to grant Barrister Jide Tinubu eternal rest and admit him into Al-Janatul Firdaos.
